This project was created with the intention to improve the life of senior citizens and their loved ones. Often times when one reaches an old age we are required to take numerous medications. MediZen is a service that improves and created a positive experience by its simplicity and warmth.

When we were asked to come up with a product related to health and wellness I thought of my two grandmothers. Recently my grandmother had shown me the new pharmacy delivery system she had signed up for and it quickly got me thinking about senior citizens and their relation to technology and how could it be used to improve their pill taking experience.
Research:
As a researcher, my partner Xinyi Wang and I conducted various interviews with the hope to gain significant insight on the things that should be addressed with the product we created it. In total we conducted 7 interviews, ranging from senior citizens, to ADHD patients, to an Alzheimer's caretaker.
Target Audience:
Senior citizens who live in the United States that are required to take various medications.
Final Result:
Our final product was MediZen, along with my partner Xinyi, we designed an easy to use, fun mobile app to come along with the pill delivery system and the pill dispenser, which was design by Xinyi Wang.
We wanted to make sure senior citizens felt heard and secure that our product was made for them and that it worked. We focused on creating a positive experience with the hopes this would encourage them to create a healthy habit of taking their pills on time, but also for them to associate taking their pills with something good.
Our pill dispenser was designed to be shown, it was designed with three different top variations, that way our users can pick whichever look of their liking. Creating a bond between them and their dispenser.
We also wanted to make sure our design gave tranquility, and that it was simple, that way we avoid giving our users unnecessary anxieties.
Our mobile app was design to be straight forward. We wanted our users to quickly understand how to navigate MediZen and we wanted to help them feel safe about taking their medicines properly and on time.
